Facts: Finger Millet is gluten-free and a good source protein, fibre and essential minerals. Millet is one of the oldest grains in the world and is cultivated in Asia, East Africa and parts of West Africa including Nigeria.

Usage: Baking, Millet Meal, Millet Porridge

Vegetarian: Suitable for vegetarians and diabetics.

Free From:  Additives, fertilizers and chemicals.

Allergy: warning This product is processed and packed in the factory that also processes: Peanuts, Sesame and Soya Beans

Recipe Suggestion

Natural Millet with Honey and Lemon 

Ingredients: 5 heaped tablespoons (120 g), 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of clear honey.

Method:

(1)- Mix the flour with 350mls of cold water in a 2 litter pan to make a smooth paste.

(2)- Place the pan on a moderate heat. Add 3/4 litter of boiling water gradually, stir quickly and continuously until the paste turns chocolate brown and begins to boil. Add more hot water to desired thickness.

(3)- Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the honey and Lemon juice. Simmer for another 3 minutes. The porridge is to serve.

Serving: Allow the porridge to cool for 2-3 minutes before eating.

More Flavour: you can add Ginger, sugar, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cardamoms and Cloves as spices in your porridge.

Cassava pancakes topped with Peanut Butter Makes 10 pan round cakes Ingredients: 500g Cassava flour; 2 peeled ripe sweet bananas; 250ml of cold water or Milk; Sunflower oil for shallow frying Method: (1) - Blend the bananas and water until mixture is smooth. (2) - Pour into in mixing bowl, add the cassava flour and knead the flour into thick dough. Add more flour if desired. (3) - Place the dough on rolling board or surface and flatted the dough with a rolling stick until it is about 1inc thick. (4) - Use a tea cup to cut the dough into neat round shape. (5) - Pour 400 ml of sunflower oil in a small deep pan and heat the oil on a moderate heat. Caution: Do not make the oil piping hot. (6) - Gently place the cake dough into the pan using and cook until golden brown on both sides.  Top with peanut butter. Recommended: Try our Natural Cassava to make food.
